The bottlegreen family has a simple philosophy that all good things last...When the founders of bottlegreen Kit and Shireen started making elderflower cordial in their kitchen 20 years ago, they followed Shireen’s family recipe that had been passed down through the generations. To this day we still follow the same recipe and over the years our customers have passed the bottlegreen name onto their families and friends…

So this got us thinking. What are the “good things” in life that have lasted the test of time and been passed on to you in your lifetime? Family stories that have you in fits of laughter, an old family recipe or tip that you couldn’t live without, or being inspired by members of your family to live your life to the full…

We asked our bottlegreen fans this very question and we decided to share one of our favourite with you, courtesy of London entrepreneur, Amanda Wenban. We invited Amanda, along with her mum, aunt and great aunt to join us for an exclusive photoshoot and chat over a few glasses of bottlegreen about the women who have inspired her...

“I am lucky to have some incredible women in my family. My mum has always been a strong businesswoman and I remember when I was little watching her get dressed in her 'power suits' and feeling really proud and in awe of her. I think that probably has inspired me to want to be that strong in business and helped me believe that I can be whatever I want to be, and be successful if I really work hard at it.

My parents have always instilled in me the importance of family and being together as often as possible. ” Amanda

Words to the Wise …

“The one thing we always do or say is to not believe in 'what if's'. You should go out there and do it, and never have a 'what if' worry...and to always laugh...”
